What is vibe code rescue?

People use the phrase for the cleanup after vibe coding. An app built mostly in Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, v0, Replit, Claude Code, Windsurf, or something similar, that now needs to survive real users. Our version is a short diagnostic, a severity list, then a fixed scope on security, auth, data, and payments. Usually we keep the product. Sometimes the diagnostic says not to.

Why people ask for it

Prototypes got cheap. The failures did not get more original. A key in the frontend. Auth that is only a component. RLS switched off. Stripe left in test mode. A deploy that works in preview and dies on the host. A few studios turned the cleanup into a defined job instead of an open-ended "we will figure it out." This is ours.

What ours includes

A diagnostic, a severity list, and if you continue, code changes in a repo you own. Process, tools, and the rest of the detail are on the Vibe Code Rescue page. Bands are on pricing.

When not to rescue

Sometimes the honest result is a rewrite. The rescue or rewrite guide is the frame we use. We would rather say that early than spend two weeks decorating a bad foundation.

FAQ

What is vibe code rescue?

A defined engagement for apps built mostly with AI coding tools. We look first, then harden security, auth, data, and payments on a fixed scope. A full rewrite is the exception.

How is rescue different from a rewrite?

Rescue keeps the screens and the code that still make sense. We rank what is dangerous, fix that, and only recommend a rebuild when the structure would make patching slower than starting over.

If the app is stuck, start with a diagnostic.
